Alugraf – General presentation

Alugraf is a metal roofing system for gently sloping roofs consisting of 3 components:
-
A - sheet
-
B - bracket
-
C - cap
A) Sheet
The sheet is the main element of the roof and has a shaped profile obtained with the continuous profiling (either in the factory or on-site) of the metal roll chosen. Sheet width can be chosen out of three different centre distances: 400-500-600 mm. The ends of the sheet are shaped to guarantee the mechanical characteristics or watertight properties boasted by the system. By using “self-protected” materials such as aluminium, copper and stainless steel, we have a roof that is unaffected by the elements.
B) Cap
This element completes the roof closing and consolidating the coupling between sheets. It is made by the continuous profiling of a roll of the metal chosen that can be different from the one used for the sheets.
C) Bracket
The bracket is the element that joins the roofing to the underlying structure and is made with a plastic material (polyamide) that combines high strength to great reliability proven by its use for decades in many different industrial applications. The bracket is screwed to the structure with fixings suitable for the type of structure. The holes for the fixings in the middle of the bracket and in the purlin underneath guarantee the best watertight conditions.
Being able to produce, profiling directly on-site, gives maximum freedom of choice as regards to the length of the sheets. The roofing requires no drilling or fastening with fixings. The structure is anchored with interlocking systems which means there are no critical infiltration points. Excellent behaviour in reaction to thermal expansion and complete resistance to the elements.
The roof is completely watertight even under the worst climatic conditions – the Alugraf system is an excellent technological alternative to synthetic and bituminous sheaths.
It can be made in aluminium, copper, stainless steel, titanium zinc or prepainted steel.
The particular shape of the sheet means roofing is completely impermeable to all atmospheric conditions. The elements are connected simply by pressure with no external drilling or fixings which also helps the natural thermal expansion movement of the metal. The combination of three sheet widths, their symmetrical shape not to mention production directly on site, leave ample room to choose the size you want.
